Kenya, located in East Africa, is known as the "Cradle of Humanity" and has been home to human ancestors for over 2.5 million years. The country's vast savannas are inhabited by thousands of lions, elephants, rhinos, buffalos, cheetahs, zebras, antelopes and hippos. Once a hunting paradise for European aristocrats in the past century; today it has become a protected haven for wildlife enthusiasts from all around the world.

Abdera National Park lies north-east of Mount Kenya's second highest peak. The park boasts lush forests teeming with African elephants and their predators - lions and rhinos - along with other animals like monkeys and birds. Nakuru Lake is also known as the 'Flamingo Lake', covering an area of 188 square kilometers at altitudes ranging from 1753 to 2073 meters above sea level. This lake was established specifically to protect bird life; flamingoes are particularly famous here due to their large flocks that inhabit this alkaline lake.

Nakuru Lake's natural conditions make it suitable for breeding algae which serve as food for flamingos; attracting up to two million birds worldwide! Along its shores form an endless pink ribbon against the blue sky when these birds take flight en masse.

Masai Mara Game Reserve on Kenya's southern border stretches into Tanzania with Serengeti National Park making it one of Africa's largest game reserves where many popular animal documentaries were filmed. Every year between July end and October end millions of wildebeests migrate across treacherous Mara River putting on display what may be called the grandest migration spectacle globally.

Joining us tonight will be Dr Zhang Jingshuo who serves as China’s Animal Museum’s Chief Planner & Curator along with being a renowned science communicator having written numerous books & articles on various scientific topics including his own book about animals titled: "100 Tail or One Thousand Leaves." He has appeared on several TV shows such as CCTV’s "Discovery," “Discovery Journey,” “Green Space” & “Get Close Science.” His projects have been featured in documentary films aired nationally throughout China.

The event promises not only thrilling tales but also stunning visuals showcasing nature at its finest through Dr Zhang Jingshuo’s engaging storytelling style that will transport you right into Kenya's wild heartland without leaving your seat.
